Generous God, faithful Friend, in the depths of our hearts we know that we are linked to you; we know we are most whole when we are centered in your love. Yet with painful awareness, we know how often we stray from our true center. We organize our lives around our need and our greed, forever fretting, often doubting your promise of care. We wall up our compassion and close our eyes to hurt. We end up tense, cautious and defensive. Generous God, faithful Friend, restore our trust in you. Let us relax into your grace and discover again the joy and power of sharing. Let us know the pleasure of being with others on the journey of faith, who give with glad and joyful hearts. Dear Church Family, Thank you for all the cards, calls and other expressions of sympathy shown to me.  It is wonderful to be a part of such a caring and loving congregation.  Jean Markham

The Congregational Life Committee is sponsoring White Elephant Bingo and potluck dinner next Sunday.  Dinner will be at 6:00 pm with Bingo to follow.  Bring a white elephant prize, any new item with a value of at least a dollar – maybe an unwanted gift you have received.  No reservation is required, just bring one of your favorite potluck dishes.  This is a great opportunity to bring a friend, neighbor or relative to join in the fun and fellowship.

Cook Books:  Are still available for purchase. You may purchase a cook book, A Taste of Grace, from Jan Evans (386-4672) or Linda Cole at the church office for $12.00 each.  All profit from the sale of these cook books goes to the building fund.

Youth PYC Retreat: We need your help.  Our youth are trying to raise money for the Presbyterian Youth ConnectionÕs Jr. and Sr. youth retreat February 20-22 at Pinecrest.   Please consider a donation to help the Youth Group attend this retreat.

Just a reminder:  The City of BartlettÕs 5K & 10K run sponsored by M.O.R.E., is coming up – Saturday, February 14th from 8:00 to 1:00 pm. Sign up forms with additional information are available in the office.

You are invited to place flowers in the sanctuary in memory or honor of someone, or to the Glory of God.  The signup sheet is located on the wall in the hallway. Please call Wendi Glenn at 338-3816 or the church office at 386-3241 for additional information.  Please sign up today!
