PRAYER OF CONFESSION
We confess to you, O God, and before our brothers and sisters, the broken state of our lives. We have failed to be your faithful people. We have not heard your voice calling us to repentance and new life. Our ears are full of the sounds of our culture telling us what we need and who we should be. We hear these voices and listen to them, even though we know that what they are calling us to will not satisfy nor will it give us life.
By the power of your gracious Spirit, open our ears and tune our hearts that we may listen to your words of life and respond to them fully. Amen.
ASSURANCE OF PARDON
Leader: Friends, believe
the good news of the gospel.
All: In
Jesus Christ, we are forgiven!

UNDECORATING PARTY!!! Now that we have had the twelve days of Christmas and Epiphany has
arrived, itÕs time to take down the Christmas decorations and store them on the
attic. We will do this on
Saturday, January 10th at 9:00 am. Though it is never as much fun taking down decorations as it
is putting them up, we can still have fun just being together and sharing a
laugh or two. Come and join us!!!
Cook Books: You may purchase our cook book, A Taste of Grace, from Jan Evans
(386-4672) or from Linda Cole at the church office for $12.00 each. All profit from the sale of these cook
books goes to the building fund.
The Annual Youth
Progressive Dinner
will be on January 11th.
For those of you who donÕt know, this consists of the youth group going
to different church membersÕ houses for salad/appetizer, main course, and
dessert. If anyone is interested
in hosting a course, please sign up on the sheet on the youth bulletin board in
the hallway.
Youth Bowling Outing
to 5:00 pm. Please bring $8.00 for
bowling.
Please remember there
will be a Joint Service/Ministry Fair on January 18,
2009 at 10:30 am. A short
Congregational meeting with an annual report of the Corporation of Grace
Presbyterian Church and other related matters will follow the service, followed
by a potluck luncheon.
