CALL TO CONFESSION
PRAYER OF CONFESSION (Unison)
Out of the depths we cry to you. O LORD, hear our cry! If you should mark iniquities, who could stand? Our sins have crippled us, bound us, buried us—they cut us off from you, who are life itself. But there is forgiveness with you. With you is great power to redeem. Breathe into us your breath, O God. Breathe into us your Spirit. Open our graves and call us to you that we may live in full knowledge of your power and steadfast love.
ASSURANCE OF PARDON
So now there is no condemnation for those who belong to Christ Jesus. And because we belong to him, the power of the life-giving Spirit has freed us from the power of sin that leads to death. The Spirit of God, who raised Jesus from the dead, lives in us. And just as God raised Christ Jesus from the dead, he will give life to our mortal bodies by this same Spirit living within us.
