Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name.

Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our sins, as we forgive those who sin against us. Lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil; for Thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen.

CALL TO WORSHIP

Leader:   Praise the Lord.

People:  Sing to the Lord a new song.

Leader:   Sing GodÕs praise in the assembly of the faithful.

People:  Let us all be glad and give thanks and remember that GodÕs love endures forever.

Leader: The Lord God has done mighty acts for us all.

All:        So let us rejoice in this day that God has made for us.

* PROCESIONAL HYMN #481       Praise the Lord GodÕs Glories Show                                                                      LLANFAIR

PRAYER OF CONFESSION

Forgive us, O Lord, our cowardice. Sometimes we just cannot make ourselves do what we know we should. Our tongues fail us, our hearts sink, our legs won't move, our hands won't reach. And it's not that we don't care or that we don't know what to do, we are simply frightened.

Help us to remember that our failure to speak and act when we should can have dire consequences. Our presence in this world, as you have told, is as salt and light. If salt loses its savor, the whole meal can go bad. And if light does not shine, we are in the dark.

Help us overcome our timidity. Remind us that you have called us to live confidently and act boldly in the world. Remind us also that it is not about us, but about us, but about you. We have this treasure in jars of clay. For ChristÕs sake. Amen

ASSURANCE OF PARDON
