Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name.

Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our sins, as we forgive those who sin against us. Lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil; for Thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen.

CALL TO WORSHIP

Leader:       Come gather together here in the presence of Christ, who is our friend and healer.

People:      We have entered here and in our worship together, we yearn for hope and comfort.

Leader:       Let us reach to the heart of Jesus, who is our life.

People:      We encounter our Lord, who makes us whole.

Leader:       Here we are welcome and loved and cherished.

People:       Here we are the people of God. Let us rejoice and give God praise.

* PROCESIONAL HYMN #464

                     Joyful, Joyful, We Adore You                                            HYMN TO JOY

CALL TO CONFESSION

PRAYER OF CONFESSION

Holy God, we confess that we do not honestly consider our call to holiness. Where you have called us to be holy priesthood, we ignore the demands of servanthood. Where you have called us to repentance, we have comforted ourselves with superficial changes. Where you have set us apart for the purpose of showing your love to the world, at best we show a clouded image of it to each other. Although you have addressed us as sojourners and exiles who bear your name, we instead seek security and a less demanding title. Lord, forgive us for ignoring your call, and make us a holy people, set apart for your purpose of love and mercy. Amen

ASSURANCE OF PARDON

Leader:         Friends, believe the good news of the gospel.

All:              In Christ Jesus, we are forgiven!

* GLORIA #579                                                                                                GREATOREX

THE MIHN GUEST WILL ARRIVE ON SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 17TH. Watch for the sign up sheet in the hallway. A supply list is posted in the kitchen. For more information, contact Dana Jackson at 377-9374.
