People: Lamb of God, who takes away the sins of the world, have mercy on us.

People: Lamb of God, who takes away the sins of the world, have mercy on us.

First Presbyterian ChurchÕs Soup Kitchen is asking us to collect items for hygiene kits. In January they are asking for travel size shampoo/conditioner bottles. There will be a box in the Narthex for these items.
Once again the Presbyterian Women will be collecting Valentines to be delivered to our veterans at the VeteranÕs Hospital right here in Memphis, by our own Janet Vawter, a nurse. Janet sees first hand how something as simple as a little Valentine can lift the spirits of wounded and sick veterans. Drop your Valentine message in the Valentine box in the Narthex and bring a blessing to our brave veterans. Deadline is February 06, 2008.
Day Trippers will sponsor White Elephant Bingo Monday, January 28, 2008. We will have a potluck lunch at 11:30 am and Bingo from 1:00 to 3:00 pm. You are encouraged to bring a new item to be used as a prize that has a value of at least one dollar—one that you have absolutely no use for, but just canÕt bring yourself to part with. Bring a potluck lunch item—bringing a prize is not a requirement, additional prizes will be provided. Come join us for a time of fellowship, food and fun.
Reception for Reverend Judith Reese—The congregation is invited to a reception for Reverend Reese at the church on Saturday, January 26th from 3:00 to 5:00 pm. Please take this opportunity to come by and express your love and appreciation to Judith for all she has come to mean to the members of Grace Presbyterian Church.
The Property Committee will sponsor a potluck dinner on Sunday, January 27th at 6:00 pm. Since the meat will be provided, reservations will be required. You are asked to bring vegetables, bread, salads or desserts. Please register your intended attendance on the friendship pads or call Linda Cole at the church office at 386-3241. Following the dinner, the Property Committee will give a guided tour of the new construction. A trivia questions contest will follow the guided tour. Plan to join us for a night of food and fellowship.
Elders please remember to pick up your agenda and minutes in your boxes today. Thank You!!!!

The Property Committee is planning to list it with several piano dealers in mid-February but is offering it to members of the congregation at the appraised price until that time. If you are interested in purchasing it, or know someone who is, please contact Bill Carroll or Charlotte Hicks for further information.
